Storm Chasers, the winds are blowing!
I love a good storm. During the summer months, as long as I am inside, safe and dry, I love a good thunderstorm. I love the stillness in the air before the storm arrives. Then as it get's closer there an electricity in the air that you can't explain. As long a nobody gets struck by lightening and as long a no trees topple down, I love to watch through the windows. The best part is when the storm passes and the sun comes out and the birds start singing again.
Even though I've had my fill for this season, I also enjoy a good snow day; just one or two during the winter months, preferably before Christmas. There's something about hunkering down, all cozy and warm and not being able to go anywhere. Everybody is home and you spend doing things like baking, making a good soup, or watching movies together as family. As long as we don't lose power, I love the day off from everything else, even when we must venture out in the cold to move the cars and shovel once or twice. Although I do have to admit, I am not sure if I am ready for the 18-24 inches of snow with winds gusts of up to 55 mph in this nor'Easter that is upon us now. As a kid, my favorite part of a snowstorm was the morning after, especially when the sun came out. Everything is bright and sparkly with new fallen-snow. If the snow was wet, the hanging branches of the evergreen trees made perfect snow-forts to play in.
Warm and moist air that rises rapidly into the atmosphere is what fuels a storm. As the air rises, it cools and the moisture condenses. It falls back to earth as precipitation. The moisture needed to fuel a storm is actually supplied by a mass of air moving through a particular area. This is why so many storms form at the boundaries where different air masses meet. Cool dry air meets with warm moist air - Two fronts or forces colliding. You have updrafts and downdrafts, up-moving and downward moving air currents resulting in the clashing of atmospheres!
First the natural, than the spiritual. You could look at it this way, a clashing of two kingdoms! Here in American, ever since November 8, 2016, there has been a storm and it's even more evident since January 20, 2017. There has been a shift and now there is a storm, a clashing of two atmospheres. Or, another way you can put is, a clashing of two kingdoms.
There are so many examples in God's Word of two kingdoms colliding. Look at Moses. He had to confront Pharaoh with the words "Let my people go". Remember how Aaron's staff turned into a snake and then the magicians of Pharaoh did the same thing. Then, the bible says that Aaron's staff are up the Magician's staffs. Another word for staff is "rod", symbolic of authority. God has given us Kingdom authority in this world. Like Moses, we have to be obedient to do what God says and even face the opposition.
Look at David and his mighty men. I think of the words David so often spoken in God's word, "and David inquired of the Lord, Shall I go up?" Shall we go up and overtake our enemy? Or, do we hide? David spent time in the caves of
Adullam? At this place is a
hill some 500 feet high pierced with numerous caverns, in one of which David gathered together "every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented" ( 1 Samuel 22:2 ). Some of these caverns are large enough to hold 200 or 300 men. The very name Adullam means "refuge". God is our refuge and our strength and a present help in time of trouble. I would say that we don't have to go far to see these are times of trouble. - Psalm 46:1. There is a time and a season to hide in the Lord and rest, but there also is a time and season for war. Right now we are in a season of war over our nation, against the powers of darkness that do not want to give up control.
The greatest example of a clashing of two kingdoms that I
can think of is when Christ
walked on this earth. Heaven invaded Earth. The kingdom of darkness was so terrified, the enemy had all boys brutally murdered in Bethlehem that were two years old and younger. 33 years later, the enemy overplayed his hand at the cross where Christ died once and for all for our sins, defeating the enemy and taking away from him the keys of death, hell, and the grave.
To me it is so obvious and evident that you don't even need to be a prophet or have the gift of discerning of spirits to see this clashing of atmospheres or kingdoms. It's all around us and in our face. Remember the women's march right after President trumps inauguration? Since when was it ever cool to be a "nasty women?" These nasty women are heavily influence by the Jezebel spirit. This Jezebel spirit is angry about losing it's grip on America and this spirit is not going to give up without a massive fight. In fact, we will have to contend with this spirit until Christ returns. We are also watching the spirit of lawlessness rise up in our country.
You can look all around and see the signs of the times. It's easy to see prophetically if you will allow yourself. Look at the Superbowl for an example. I don't even like football and I sure don't understand it but I felt compelled to watch the game anyway. My take on the it? They say that the 20 pt comeback in the 4th quarter is unheard of and historic, along with Brady winning 5 Superbowl games. (Yes, #5 represents grace) I believe that just as in the game last night, that the times we are in are historic. It's interesting that the Falcons were the opponents and for a while it looked like a sure thing that they would win. A Falcon is a bird of prey. (nothing negative intended in regards to the Atlanta Falcons) The enemy has preyed upon and oppressed the weak long enough! In spite of all the opposition, Patriotism is making a come back in American! Love for God and Country will prevail! American shall be great again! We will see a " win for the ages!"And it's interesting that of all sports...we saw this what we call the all-American sport. And not only that...the Superbowl. Think the golden bowl of incense in Revelation 5:8 that is the prayers of God's people! As we continue to prayer for our president and for our great nation, we will see the opposition, the oppressor defeated.
I believe this shift and clashing of atmospheres or kingdoms is not only happening on a national and global scale but also it is happening in our individual lives. We have the soul man, that fleshly carnal nature that continually clashes with our spirit man, the part of us that is born again and alive to God and His kingdom.
Everything that could be shaking is being shaking. The shaking is not always a bad thing. This shaking is a result of the warfare between two kingdoms. The clashing of two atmosphere's. It's time we took our eyes of our own personal storms. We can be selfish when we wake up in the morning and start praying what's on our own hearts instead of asking Him what is on His heart. Have we even considered the Father's heart? When was the last time you began your day asking Him, "Lord, what is on your heart today? What do You desire for me to pray today? How can I stand in the gap for that desire, today?" - When we are through this battle, many of us will find that the things we had been seeking, praying, and often even begging God for, won't matter to us anymore, except those things He has already desired for us, will suddenly be answered, and the victory won. It would be just like God to do that.
We need to get a national prospective in our prayer lives
right now. What would happen if we took a break from seeking the Lord for our own personal battles and begin to pray for His will over our nations instead. I'm talking about those prayers we pray every day. That desire that we have and some of us have said "When this is answered, then I will will be free to serve you." We've named it, claimed, it and even begged God for it. Think of it as a fast from petition prayer. Like Abraham and Issac, we are putting the issues of our hearts on the altar. This means trusting Him...that as we pray what is on His heart...seek Him first, He will give us the desires of our heart, those things we desire on a personal level. We need to pursue Him deeper, seek His heart.
For many of us, our prayers aren't being answered because we are too busy with our own petition prayers & building our own personal kingdoms. We build our own paneled houses while the house of God lies in ruin. We need to start building His kingdom on this earth and then He will help you build your house. It's time for us to enlarge our tent pegs beyond our own homes, families, hobbies, etc... We need to get a national and global perspective!
I want to challenge you: if the Holy Spirit would lead you, if you would trust Him, No petition prayer through Easter.
Unless the Lord puts a situation on your heart; then only pray prophetically by decreeing and declaring what God is
saying, rather than from our own desires. Many times we have to be careful that we aren't praying only from our own will instead of God's. We just assume because we desire it, because it looks like a good thing, that it's okay to pray it. That is control and manipulation which is witchcraft. We need to be careful to seek God's heart and pray from His desires, not our own.
When you read the word, rather than reading for scriptures to encourage yourself, try to search out scriptures that prophetically speak to what is happening now in our nation and globally. Seek out scriptures you can declare and decree! Answers and victory for this nation will automatically mean victory in our own personal lives. If we keep on building your own personal lives instead, we've already lost the battle for all we are concerned about. We can be like little spoiled children "Daddy, look at me! Look at me! Meet my request! When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. - 1 Corinthians 13:11. It's time to stop being childish.
Most of us will be hunkering down during the blizzard coming our way. You can blame the enemy for the storm and shaking that is going on or you can know that God is in control of this clashing of atmospheres. Let's make the most of the time we have being still, and seeking His heart and praying for revival and reformation in this nation!
Quote from the weather man last week, "Crazy battle going on between the warm and and the cold air." The quote from the weather man this morning was "two converging air masses. One air mass fighting from land to the sea. We have another air mass coming onshore from the sea." That is causing the heavy band of snow in Midcoast Maine right now as I type on my laptop. The weather says "The question is, which air mass wins out?"
The question for us is "Which atmosphere wins out? Which Kingdom wins out? We know the Word says we win but we also know that the Lord is coming for a Bride without spot and wrinkles. Right now we have too many spots and wrinkles. But in the midst of chaos and in the midst of the battle, in the midst of the world growing darker and darker, the Lord's glory of the Lord is upon us. His light will shine brighter and brighter. Let's be that light that shines for Him and let's be the ones who stand firmly with Christ as our foundation so that when the storms comes, (like today) our houses will stand. We will stand. It's no longer about us anymore. It's about this great nation, the Untied States of American and her role, our role, in this great end-time global harvest! And for my Kiwi friends. the Lord is going to bring revival to your nation. You are pivotal to what He wants to do across all the South Pacific Islands and even into Asia. So don't feel left out. This is for you too! This great shaking is happening all over the world. Let's not be afraid of the storm, this clashing of atmospheres. We are in for an Elijah on Mount Carmel experience where all the altars of Baal are coming down and all will see who the one true God is!
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and
bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. - Isaiah 55:10,11
